  1. To stop SPSS commands that are running,
  2.   • Click Cancel in the Status box.

  4. Afterwards, you may want to check the data
  5. dictionary and data transformations in the
  6. active file to see what has been updated.

  8. ••If no complete data pass occurred prior to
  9.   the cancellation, there may be no SPSS
  10.   active system file.  This might be the case
  11.   if none of the prior commands caused the
  12.   data to be read (data definition and
  13.   transformation commands such as DATA LIST,
  14.   VALUE LABELS, COMPUTE, and RECODE
  15.   do not cause the data to be read).
